ALL ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Gina and I am a third generation native of Phoenix.  I reside with my family, as well as seven dogs, four cats, a four and a half foot iguana, two parakeets, a blue and gold macaw, one bearded dragon, two fat tail geckos, two African tortoises, a pond of twelve water turtles, a pond full of goldfish and koi, a 300 gallon salt tank and a 125 gallon fresh tank. We live in the Desert Hills area and LOVE it!

I LOVE animals of all kinds and have been around them most of my life. Between 1971 and 1976, my mother and step-father owned two businesses selling tropical fish and small rodents. As a child, I worked in these stores cleaning the rodent cages and occasionally working the cash register. The animal occupants of my childhood home consisted of dogs, cats, birds, rats, gerbils, chinchillas, frogs, turtles, tortoises, ducks and fish.

From 1985 through 2000, I worked for a Title Company. I worked in the Account Servicing Department for fourteen years, most of those years in a supervisor capacity, and for one year in Escrow as an Assistant Escrow Officer. In 1997, I co-founded Automotive Destinations, LLC, a mobile automotive repair business. Thanks to Ben Hosley, a dedicated and hard working individual, Automotive Destinations is a thriving business. From 2002 to 2004, my mother and I owned and operated a small pet shop. We sold fresh and salt water fish, birds, reptiles, purebred puppies, “rescued” puppies and “rescued” cats. We also had a grooming salon. We opened this store due to our love of animals. After the store opened, we found it extremely difficult to part with the animals we were selling. We fell in love with all of them, including the fish. Coming to the realization that we could not sell animals, and with much regret, we decided to close our store. During our two years in business, three of our dogs, three of our cats, the tortoises, water turtles, bearded dragon, one fat tail gecko and some of the fresh and salt water fish came home to live with us.

I have always enjoyed all kinds of animals and I need to be around them. It’s my life’s passion! In order to feed that passion, I have opened ANIMAL AGENDAS, pet sitting and services….

Aunty Gina has dog-sit for us since we moved here with our Mom and Dad from Wisconsin in January 2007.  Mom was so lucky to find her!  Dad and Mom work too far from home to come home on the lunch hour like they did back in Wisconsin.  So it has worked out well that Aunty Gina comes over every lunch hour to play with us and takes us for a walk.  When Dad and Mom go away for the weekend she will come over a few times during the day to take care of us.  We like it when they go away because that means we get to see her more often!!  She also took our Westie cousin Owen to his Dad (Chris) and Mom's (Megan) wedding back in October so that Owen could be in the wedding pictures!  She is the best ever (and our mom and Dad just don't trust anyone).  So, if any of our four legged friends out there wants a super nice person to take care of them....our Aunty Gina comes with our highest recommendations.
